  • Reuse – By proving reusable eco friendly bags
  • Recycle – By segregation of wastes to retrieve recyclable stuff from garbage
  2. Supply Reduction:
 Seeking cooperation of law enforcing agencies for punitive measures against traders pushing plastic bags supplies in market

Initiatives taken so far...

1. Visit to Group Housing Societies: So far, we have covered more than 25 Group Housing Societies, sensitizing the residents about the benefits of using jute/cloth bags in place of plastic ones and guiding communities towards a plastic-free society. Our mission : educating and distributing alternatives of single use polythene like cloth bag, bio compostable bags and jute bags as a sustainable solution.

2. Conveying Message through Leaders: Honorable Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, stands with us, as we shine a spotlight on our impactful campaign ‘Say No to Polythene’ during the vibrant Rahgiri program at Sector 5, Panchkula and also at Cloth Bag ATM inauguration at Sector-20, Panchkula Mandi. In pictures below we have Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, Honorable Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly, lauding the team’s invaluable contributions, witnessing the impactful efforts in driving the tricity towards a polythene-free transformation.
3. Opening Vikalp Stores: We’ve launched several Vikalp Stores – Your choice for a Polythene-Free living! Borrow a cloth bag for a deposit of Rs. 10, return it, and get your money back. A small step for us, a big leap for the planet.

4. Visit to Local Mandis: Witness the inspiring shift in communities as they rally behind our no polythene campaign. People proudly carry their own cloth bags to mandis/local fruits and vegetable sellers. Instead of polythene bags, vendors now offer nature’s bounty in paper bags, demonstrating their commitment to reducing plastic waste.

5. Visit to Schools: Addressing a no. of students together, assigning project work to groups – Small actions, significant change. Creating young eco-heroes who will lead the charge in the battle against polythene pollution.

6. Visit to Nearby Markets: We are spreading awareness to local shops about the importance of using alternatives of single use polythene bags. Slowly and steadily people are embracing it and saying goodbye to single-use polythene bags

7. Door to Door Campaigning: A small group of volunteers have been consistently going door to door, educating the nearby societies about the perks of using alternatives of single use polythene bags in their move towards creating a more eco-conscious society.
8. Visit to Temples: We often visit temples and other religious places and convey the message of ditching single use polythene and using its alternatives. These messages are then conveyed through the priests also for better ingraining of the issue at hand. In addition, our team distributes cloth bags to all the devotees in the temples.
9. Involving Small Children: Sensitizing young minds through playful competitions of Drawings, posters, small speeches, skits. These young minds have the power to rewrite the narrative on polythene bags.
10. Providing Bags to Vendors: By ensuring the availability of Biodegradable (CPCB & HPCB approved) bags to vendors at factory rates on a No Profit basis, we are ensuring that everyone embraces eco-friendly alternatives for a better tomorrow.
